USSA Firearms Instructor Training Program

The US Shooting Academy introduces a unique job training program and career opportunity for disabled veterans through the local Veterans Administration office.

Students of the 12 to 18 month FITP will attend over forty USSA training classes as a student. Once completed, each student will assist in these training classes as an adjunct instructor to the senior lead instructor. Upon graduation from the FITP program, students will be equipped to enter into the firearms industry as a qualified firearms instructor. Some agencies, ranges, and commercial security firms may also require additional training and state certifications.

OK CLEET Qualifications at USSA

OK CLEET qualifications for sworn officers are held on a monthly basis at the USSA PPC range. Officers are not required to call in advance in order to secure time on the qualification range.

Dates for CLEET qualification: 
March 10 - 1500 to 1700
April 8 - 1000 to 1200
May 12 - 1300 to 1500
June 16 - 1500 to 1700

Additional dates will be announced quarterly.
