Why choose a USSA tactical handgun? When purchasing one of our well built highly customized guns, we often get that question, especially when a potential buyer is comparing prices. Here is how we answer it:
First, it is important to understand that the requirements for a duty carry 1911 are significantly different than those of a 1911 used for competitions. What is acceptable for one application is not necessarily desirable or even appropriate for another.
Remember that this firearm will ride in an exposed holster and be subjected to rain, sweat, constant handling, and the hard knock life of being around work vehicles, and other hard surfaces like concrete walls. Additionally, you will not find any bargains, nor should you be looking for one when your safety or that of your men or family is on the line.
Tested and proven reliability - Weapon down time equates to lost training and operational time, and worst case - your life.
From the years of experience on the competition circuit and our world-class instructors both former and active, military, and law enforcement, we have amassed their knowledge directly into a state-of-the-art custom firearm for tactical use. To these operators, their firearms are their life. They need unqualified trust in their weapon's ability to perform with maximum accuracy and reliably. We make sure every tactical series firearm we deliver meets our unwavering standards for fit, reliability, and accuracy. Nothing leaves our shop until it is ready for service.
