
Congratulations! You 've decided to join the revolutionary new USSA Training Group and checked out the schedule. Now you're wondering "Just where do I start in this new training program?"
We've got all the answers right here. Step-by-step and easy to follow, we'll have you in a class before you know it.
Step 1: Decide which sessions you'd like to attend. USSA Training Group encompasses a variety of subjects and you may attend as many as you like and have time for.
Subjects include:
Handgun - Rifle - Shotgun
Combatives - Firearm Maintenance and Cleaning
Basic First Aid - Reloading - Equipment Selection - Mindset
& Much More!
Step 2: All Shooters Must Begin in the Introduction to Training Group Class Every Wednesday. This Course will explain in detail what you can expect in the Training Group Program and is a great place to answer any questions you may have. We want to ensure you are fully prepared for your Training Group experience.
Note that anyone who is authorized to attend higher level sessions and ALWAYS may attend any sessions at a lower level if desired.
Step 3: Now that you have an idea of what to expect in Training Group and how we track your progress you can begin coming to the training sessions. Your Next Class must be Introduction to Handgun Marksmanship. All Students start here regardless of experience as it is also a class on how we integrate you into the training environment. Intro to Handgun is a very comfortable environment and is a great place for new shooters and experienced shooters alike to refine their fundamentals.
Step 4: What gear do I need to bring? This chart will help you prepare for your session. We recommend you bring the basic gear listed here every thime you attend and the instructors may suggest additional gear depending on the specific material you are covering within the class.
Many of these required items are available for rent or purchase through the USSA proshop. We rent handguns, rifles, and shotguns. The proshop also sells ammunition in common calibers (9mm, 40, 45, 380, 223/5.56), eye and ear protection, holsters, belts, mag pouches, and other necessary equipment. Call the proshop for more information. Firearm rentals are on a first come-first served basis.
