Intended Application		We recommend...

USPSA / IPSC Competition		USPSA/IPSC competitions are comprised of several divisions. Production division will require a standard pistol such as Smith & Wesson M&P or GLOCK. Limited division is best served with a five or six inch high capacity 2011 based pistol in 40 S&W caliber. The decision between standard five inch and long slide six inch models comes down to the individual shooter. Six inch pistols provide a longer sight radius which makesaccurate aiming at high speed easier. Single stack competitors need a five inch 1911 pistol meeting the single stack rules for weight and dimension. The 45 ACP is the perennial favorite but is rapidly losing ground to the 40 S&W due to improved recoil characteristics and lower ammo costs. In open division, anything goes and we address the need for speed with high capacity compensated pistols designed for extreme accuracy and speed. Open pistols incorporate an electronic red dot sight allowing shooters to engage any target with absolute confidence.

IDPA		IDPA is all about competing in real world simulated scenarios with pistols generally available from any gunshop. To gain the competitive edge however shooters need a pistol built by a gunsmith and incorporating all the advantages the rules will allow. USSA can provide upgraded M&Ps or GLOCKS for the Stock Service Pistol division and highly tuned 1911s for the Enhanced Service and Custom Defensive divisions.

Steel Challenge		Of all the shooting disciplines, Steel Challenge requires the highest number of accurate shots per second. This requires a pistol specially designed for maximum speed between shots, minimum time between targets, and the accuracy to make every shot connect. USSA Custom offers pistol for all Steel Challenge divisions from rimfire guns built on 1911 and 2011 frames to minor caliber high capacity pistols to full-on compensated and lightened race pistols. The choice is yours.

NRA Action Pistol		The Bianchi Cup has been described as a match of 192 perfect shots. Every single shot in the Cup needs to be perfectly placed within the time allotted. A single botched shot or gun malfunction will take the competitor from first to twentieth place in the blink of an eye. USSA builds pistols for the metallic division as well as compensated pistols designed to meet the rules requirements for the open and modified open divisions. Regardless of which division they are competing in, shooters with USSA pistols know they can count on the extreme accuracy and flawless reliability of their gear.
