PRO-AM CLUB - 3rd Saturday
The PRO-AM is a steel only match combining accuracy and speed with a spectator and media friendly format.
Phil Strader deserves all the credit for the modern incarnation of this shooting sport. It is his dream to bring together the best shooters at the best venue competing for cash, prizes, and bragging rights. The PRO-AM stages range from stationary shooting positions to series of boxes to full on field courses featuring props of all types. Walls, doors, swingers, Texas stars, poppers, and plate racks are just some of the challenges presented to the competitor. All stages in PRO-AM are par time. Shooters are scored on how many steel they take down in that fixed time. If there is a tie, one of the stages is designated the tie-breaker and is used to determine the winner. If there's still no winner, the competitors enter into a one-on-one shootoff.
